A long, long time ago, the Romans built a huge wall across the top of England! It’s called Hadrian’s Wall, and it was made to keep out people called the Picts who lived in Scotland.
The wall was really long — about 73 miles! That’s like walking for hours and hours. Soldiers lived in little forts along the wall to guard it and watch for anyone coming close.
They built it with stone and turf, and it even had big gates so people could go through when allowed.
Now it’s old and broken in places, but you can still walk along parts of it today. It’s super cool to see something that the Romans made almost 2,000 years ago!
If you go there, you can imagine what it was like to be a Roman soldier standing on the wall, looking out over the hills! 🛡️⚔️
