Têt is a celebration that happens when it’s a new year on the lunar calendar, which is a calendar they use in many asian countries. Têt is also called lunar new year or Chinese new year. At our hotel, there was a celebration in the morning with people playing very loud drums, but at the end some people dressed up as dragons started dancing to the drums and shaking their bums.

Three days after Têt, there was a big party that we could pay to sit on nice chairs and watch people play music. But since some of our friends had a room that had a partially blocked view of the stage, we went to their patio. Since we couldn’t see that well, we tried to sneak in, but the parents didn’t like not knowing where we were so we had to stay in the room. But right before we went back to the room Finn was able to sneak in which was funny.

The thing that was bad about Têt is that every thing shuts down and it’s hard to get Grab drivers. One time when we ordered food, we waited for almost 3 hours. Then our delivery got cancelled and we had to eat ramen bowls from the supermarket at the hotel🍜😋. One other thing we did was go on a river boat ride with some of our friends. On the ride, we released some pretty lanterns onto the water and made a wish. It was cool to watch.
