Alnwick Castle(October 14)

We presumed we explore one of the many dozens of castles that stood around Northern England, the closest to us was Alnwick Castle(pronounced anick), a castle that was a filming stage for a number of scenes in the Harry Potter films(as Hogwarts I think) so we did not enter the castle proper at all due to the fact that we aren’t fans of the series. We stayed in the expansive gardens behind the castle and visited the world’s largest play structure, Liledorei. We were occupied by the massive playground for several hours but sadly the gardens were beginning to close so we rushed to get on the last tour of the UK’s largest poison garden. We had to be extremely careful while inside as everything was poisonous and potentially deadly, furthermore, none of them were covered except for the world’s most dangerous plant, the Gympie Gympie. This plant, despite its funny name, is extremely deadly as it has small, spine like teeth all over its surface that can be rustled by even the slightest breeze and cut into human skin. It was first discovered when a fighter pilot became stranded on an island without toilet paper and decided to use the Gympie Gympie leaves, he was in such excruciating pain when help finally arrived he chose to let himself be shot than to live with the agony that has been described as being set on fire, electrocuted, and dipped in acid simultaneously. The trip was extremely enjoyable even if the castle was entirely dedicated to Harry Potter.
