Once we got back from our Cincinnati trip, we had one week to get ready and say Goodbye. We did lots of packing and cleaning. Those things we didn’t like so much, but we really had fun cleaning out the pantry and the fridge. We got to eat everything.
We also said LOTS of birthday Goodbyes. Our friend Oliver had a Paint bomb birthday. Nate, Daddy, Mommy and I (Wells), beat all the levels including the paint bomb – but we still got blasted anyway. Then we said bye at Joaquin’s swim birthday. Finally, my friend Forrest had a battle birthday with all of my buddies. We just did whatever we wanted with swords and other cool costumes and weapons. We started our own army and had a revolution that ended with candy “gambling.”
Then we had our family goodbyes. We got to hang out with Aurelia, Aunt Katie and Uncle Steven. We played a lot of MTG and Streetfighter and taught Aurelia the mathematics of explosions. She loved it. Then we played whack-a-mole with a rolling pin on our brothers. I don’t know which was my favorite part. Finally on our last night, we got to hang out with more cousins, George, Crosby, Penelope, Dylan and Zoë.
Then we finished eating a little more from our fridge before heading to our plane. France here we come! Au revoir, CLT! See you in a few months
