Today we are going to the Fukui Dinosaur Museum because a lot of dinosaur fossils were discovered in Fukui. We got there before it opened, so we went to the playground first. There was a really steep slide that went super fast, and another one that was shorter but still fast—and big enough for all of us to ride at the same time!
After we were done playing, we went into the museum right when it opened, so there weren’t many people. When we got inside, we bought a special ticket that let us look at rocks with fossils in them and excavate them ourselves. I got a rock that had a replica Tyrannosaurus tooth, which I could take home.
Then we went into an area where you could look at gems and fossils. There were a lot of really cool rocks and fossils there. After we finished that area, we went to check out the kids’ play area. When we saw it, we realized it was for younger kids, so we decided to leave.
